Austinmer Public School
Past Events - 2006 - Austinmer School Logo

Using the recall of past students and teachers we think the current crest and logo that represents Austinmer Public School dates back to the mid 1980's.

The best guess as to the origin of the symbol is that Mr Jim Hill, Principal during this time, created the seagull motif with the escarpment backdrop and the terms of truth, effort and friendship in the waves of the beach.

It is a good symbol for the school ... but are there newer, more contempory images and symbolism that might reflect more accurately just what it is that makes Austinmer Public School, her students and the wider community unique.

The following images have been created by current students and parents.
