Congratulations Austinmer!

You've done it again for when it comes to the FUNdraising, we are second to none.

Students it is time for you to get your Sponsorship monies in and parents, as you move around our Austinmer / Thirroul area, please let our sponsors know how much we all appreciate their support of Public Education at Austinmer PS.

Thanks to the efforts of everyone who attended, volunteered time, donated, spent money and swam on Friday, (plus the weather being kind) the "Swimathon and Welcome to School Fundraiser" has been a huge success so far. 

 
A record 1,510 laps of Austi pool were swum by Paul Empson and his crew in 3 hours this year - beating last year's effort by close to 500 laps!  Congrats and thanks to all those who spent time in the pool.
 
We raised a total profit of over $3200.00 from stalls, plus another $1,510 from local business sponsors, and $827 from the silent auction.
 
Now we need the students to bring in their sponsor $$$ and, going by the amazing effort the kids did on the sand/pools circuit on the day, we should be on our way to beating the $10,000 raised last year!
 
Huge thanks go to the volunteers who manned the stalls, donated items and equipment and swam the pools - and special thanks to Anna Morris & crew who, this year, added the sideshow alley activity stalls... they were a huge hit with the kids Smile emoticon.  A personal thanks also goes to Paul Petersen and the office ladies, as well as Leanne Pattinson, Paul Empson, Andrew Lawler, Lisa Vezgoff, and Jo Jeffries who worked with me in the lead up to ensure the day was a success! 
 
Let's get those sponsor forms and dollars back in before the Easter Break!
